The example of Jesus will benefit even future commissars

   I hope I am not one of only a few democratic Socialists in this country completely sickened by the New Atheism war on religion. If its hateful and sophomoric contempt for the masses of religious people becomes the norm among socialist organizations, their leaders will never succeed in leading a flock of geese across a small town street. A socialist activist should never sound like a professorial chairman of the local branch of the international Society of the Godless. A bit of the loving kindness of Jesus might benefit even future commissars. We must not repeat the OFFICIALLY ATHEIST mistake of the old Soviet Union.
