As a citizen of the United
States I can only welcome these Syrian refugees. The present nation
state system of the world is an artificial creation of global
capitalism. More than one hundred years ago it was a main cause of the
Great War- which culminated in the " horror of Verdun " . The Great War
was the main cause of a greater war, World War II..
I see all these thousands of cold, homeless, hungry desperate refugees-many mere children - and I think : Karl Marx was right--the workers of the world have no country.
Let" our " America not use them for propaganda for future imperialist wars.
The U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq - the greatest foreign policy blunder in U.S. history-destabilized the Middle East. We owe these refugees a home.
But why the contempt and indifference for hundreds of thousands of homeless people in America ? Citizens !
