  The former East Greenwich School Committee member, John Sommer ,was once arrested for not paying wages to his employees ( no details in the story-case was settled). In a drunken rage he attacks and terrifies a homeless woman living in her van. The class struggle in America in all its ugliness

Homeless people should be protected from maniacs but neither the state nor the police protect them from homelessness. And why ? Because even sincere liberals think that private property rights are sacrosanct in this society. Democratic socialists do not " respect " capitalist property relationships-which keep people homeless.
