All the experience of my life agrees with this perspective on the
role of the police in the America of decaying capitalism. I find it
increasingly annoying that " liberals " prefer to view these seemingly
senseless cop murders as a race issue-public relations problem for the
police. The " crime " -if any- is usually some minor breaking of the
law- a " crime " against sacrosanct private property.Protecting
capitalist property- with " armed men "-is what the state is all about.
Does it take a radical social genius( a Lenin ? ) to see this simple
truth ?
I am well aware of the dubious nature of Bernie Sander's " socialism ". But it was sickening to see Sanders-of all candidates - disrupted by very misguided " Black Lives Matter ! " chanters. Are these people aware that both Martin Luther King and Malcolm X were very cynical about capitalism ? The Civil Rights Movement was started by socialists and " communists ".
My favorite Malcolm X quote : " Show me a capitalist and I'll show you a blood sucker ".
Those are the words that should honor the memory of Malcolm X on the facade of the University of Rhode Island Library. For years there has been a truncated NAMELESS Malcolm X quote inscribed on the front of the building : it is about some guy's passion for books and libraries.
True, you can learn a lot about the evils of capitalism in America's public libraries.
