Vistors to Rhode Island warned by Radical Ron !

Welcome to Rhode Island

Rhode Island should clean up its act in more ways than one. It could be a physically beautifully state-and still is in scattered places. To be sure, in the capital city of Providence visitors should not be greeted with visible trash, and disgusting cigarette butts on the sidewalks and the streets. Never picked up trash even at our ballyhooed state beaches.

Half the restaurants here are less than mediocre with shabby and rude "service". Also hygiene challenged.

Too many over- advertised restaurants are not so great--legends in their own minds. Too many fast food joints are clueless about rest room standards.

One still good pizzeria on Federal Hill was, in fact, a lot better years ago. I suspect they cheapened the dough--in order to save dough. And the coffee everywhere is getting suspiciously weaker without getting any cheaper. But it can be "fixed" for that right caffeine rush for an extra buck (Expresso!)

And don't expect that they will just give you napkins -- or even the right change!
