what can happen if we liberate the grocery industry from greedy unions
and constricting regulations, because we've been there before. Marc
Levinson's The Great A&P is a fascinating and illuminating history,
and Upton Sinclair's classic docu-novel The Jungle shows how much
cheaper production can be without them. Caveat emptor!

Upton Sinclair was a radical socialist. And " The Jungle " was
definitely not anti-union, anti-regulation.
