A funny anecdote about Senate majority leader

Ruggerio-like him or not-is a powerful, gifted leader. And he has been
around a long time. I am not at all inclined to smear him, but he did
make news some years ago about a condom theft at CVS pharmacy, I recall.
My family in Cranston received a crank call about this incident one
day. My late father's name was Domenic Ruggieri ( Pop died in 1999 ) I
answered the phone saying " MY father has nine kids.So HE is definitely
not the condom thief ! " Pop was also a very traditional
Italian-Catholic born on Federal Hill.
Rhode Island Senate Majority Leader Dominick J. Ruggerio was arrested in Barrington and charged with DUI and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer.[3]

State senator Dominick J. Ruggerio, of Providence, was arrested in September 1990 for shoplifting condoms from a CVS drug store, in Cranston.
