I attended a
number of Pawtucket Red Sox games at McCoy Stadium because they were
relatively CHEAP.I recall a memorable 4th of July night fire works
there -the more innocent atmosphere of the early years of American major
league baseball.But that innocence is long gone.
In order to attend these baseball games today families need extra spending money. In Rhode Island the Great Recession never ended. If you want a vision of the future of any new baseball stadium in Providence, check out the haunted and delapidated old Welfare Building.
