" Investing " in misery ?

What can help homeless people immediately is not " investing in affordable housing ". Must a profit be made even on abject human misery ? Who can be more miserable and depressed than homeless people. We must question landlord right here in Rhode Island. The same neo-Democrats who think a 15 dollar minimum wage is outrageous have no problem with outrageous rents. And conservative Catholics want to strengthen the family by making family life impossible. Try raising five kids in a small dump of an apartment.
In Providence we have too many irresponsible slumlords. I recall the Langston Hughes poem " The Ballad of the Landlord ". A good homework assignment for black and Latino kids-if they have a HOME.
