Egomaniac Neil DeGrasse Tyson's Good Friday insult
The ubiquitous VOICE OF SCIENCE Neil DeGrasse Tyson is beginning to sound
like one of those obnoxious New Atheists. I have no quarrel with modern
Science and neither does the Catholic Church. But I have read in just the
past two days many of Tyson's gratuitous insults of Catholicism- a Good
Friday insult: He clearly implied that Catholics were dumber than
Scientologists for their ancient belief in the Holy Eucharist- actually a
rather Platonic belief in the transformation of ordinary bread and wine
into the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
No less a scientist than Albert Einstein was respectful -even fascinated -by this belief.
Einstein was always pondering the mystery of the Old Wise One.
A more serious insult is aimed at people of the Islamic faith. Tyson
sarcastically wonders why the Islamic culture has produced so few Nobel
Prize in Science winners– in contrast to the Jewish culture! Here he
sounds like ex-Trotskyist, Islamophobe Christopher Hitchens, author of an
atheist cult book titled "God is not Great ... How religion poisons
everything".
Could he be the Brian Williams of NASA? He is a puffed up buffoon, a
little too full of himself. Isaac Asimov was also an atheist humanist, but
a more polite one. Isaac thought -ironically - that God might forgive an
honest atheist but not a WISE GUY atheist.
So confess and repent, godless MAN OF SCIENCE. And humble yourself!
(stick with climate change deniers)
