Is the human adventure ending ?

             We will realize -perhaps too late - that the most important

    " news "  lately is not the front page stuff, the war against terrorism,

    the wickedness of one Mayor Vincent " Buddy "  Cianci, the sex-lives of

    the rich and famous. All that matters,of course, if the FUTURE can be

    counted on to be not much different  from the past.

                The most important news is that our garden flowers may soon

    evolve into " weeds " as a consequence of global warming. And global

    warming is a FACT -not just politically correct hysteria. And global

    capitalism cannot go on in the same old way - MORE AND MORE OF MORE AND

    MORE - without an ecological catastrophe.

               And overpopulation means that the flower of humanity -our

    real hope for the future - will also become as weeds in the fields.

                Our children will live as weeds of decay on a decaying

    planet. Imagine a future Pope exhorting the desperate poor of Mexico,

    or Africa, or India : KEEP THE BAMBINOS COMING !

                 Most pathetic of all are the best and the brightest who

    think they can ignore the fate of the whole world while planning a

    lucrative career in investment banking. A  MASTER OF BUSINESS in a

    world now best described by H.P.Lovecraft. All they can hope for in

    the end is a room of " Cool Air " !

                The tired face of the Pope is not just human waning. It is

    a symbol of millennial exhaustion. The same incantations, the same tired

    words of the ancient Holy Book.... the sacred rituals ... have lost

    their magic against the Demon Cosmos.

                 Dark Matter will soon triumph. The Black Hole is opening.

           The Divine Light is spent.... " Our Father who art in Yaganath.. "

Lesser candidate's for Kerr's bus

People like this are literally too " low rent " for a place on

    Bob's * " bus " . But they do deserve an honorable mention for

    a seasonal pass : I myself am  ALREADY  on the bus one May morning.

    The bus is crowded with young and healthy people on their way to work

    or school. A middle aged woman with her left arm in a sling boards the

    bus. I wonder how long it will take for somebody near her to offer her

    a seat. Like zombies they don't SEE her or don't have a clue about common

    decency. She FINALLY gets a seat when somebody  gets up to get off the

    bus.

           Later a bus driver told me a young woman with a baby in her arms

    got on his bus. The same dysfunctional sociology is observed. The bus

    driver gets a little pissed : " This bus is not moving to this young lady

    gets a seat ". There is some applause as if he were now on the Oprah Winfrey

    show.

               I get off in front of the library. A middle aged man with a cane

    is at the crosswalk. There is even a flashing yellow light. Cars with

    waving American flags just speed right by him

               UNITED WE STAND !

Cross burning =flag burning = USA

 As a not uncritical fan of ACLU, I will nevertheless support

    crossing burning and flag burning and hateful speech as inalienable

    FREE SPEECH rights.

              Cross burning is now the focus of politically correct indignation.

    Well, if flag burning can be indulged by us dizzy LIBERAL-PINKOS , so can

    cross burning. The Pope himself is upset by the cross as a symbol being

    abused by moron celebrities who publicly CONNECT with Jesus - flaunting

    both their wealth and their piety with expensive golden crucifixes around

    their  sexy necks.

               Among those being hatefully intimidated by the illuminated

    cross is the odious class of VAMPIRES in our midst. I guess  Count Dracula

    has feelings too.

              Religious fanatics wave the cross at poor , miserable, frantic

    women seeking the service of Planned Parenthood clinics.

               In human society the force of ostracism is just as effective

    in controlling unacceptable behavior as punitive laws. Imagine NOBODY

    in the neighborhood ever again chatting with a drunken red-neck who

    burned a cross on his property  at the end of a long hot summer -just

    to remind a certain minority group of the good old plantation days.

               I was also glad to see computer created child porn not

    legally condemned. Where do you draw the line on THOUGHT CRIME ?

            As a Ralph Nader fan,  I look forward to the GREENING of

    America.

Dead soul - John Edward

 I wish Carl Sagan and Isaac Asimov -popular science writers -

    were alive to demolish the credibility of that phony psychic John Edward.

    I am sickened by the daily commercials- with Twilight Zone like background

    music - advertising his " gift " : getting grief stricken people in touch

    with their dear departed. This charlatan's " gift " would not withstand a

    serious scientific investigation.

                A low point in his hocus-pocus career:  exploiting the grief

    of Sept. 11. On October 25, 2001 he was ready  for a very profitable TV

    program : communicating with the dead victims of the World Trade Center

    attack. Just let their friends and relatives know that all is well with

    them in the spirit world.

            Sanity prevailed - and John Edward lost big bucks.

               By the way I just received an mystical communication from

    the ghost of Carl Sagan : He says that non-existence is easy  enough

    to accept. Just billions and billions of hydrogen atoms waiting to get

    recalled to life.

                  He just wishes he could still fight the good fight against

    scientific illiteracy.

Epithets don't make a racist

Buddy Cianci's crowd are definitely a "low-rent " bunch.

    For precisely this reason -if I were on the jury - I would rule out

    big time corruption. That gang of tow truck owners - I just heard

    one of them speaking the Federal Hill equivalent of Ebonics on a

    radio talk show - are rather tough  and not easily intimidated. You

    don't shake this type down; you make a deal with  them , a deal they

    just  can't refuse.

              I suspect that our entrenched East Side aristocracy does

    not appreciate two bit hoodlum competition in the control of City

    Hall. The Old Nobles don't trust guys with seedy envelopes. They

    expect higher standards from THEIR public servants.

                You know there is a difference between a street whore

    and a call girl, explains the heroine of the Hollywood movie " True

    Romance ".

                  Now it seems  our Frank C has an anti- Semite streak

    in him.  I'll defend him here. Racism is  more than a limited vocabulary.

    It is  genuine malice directed at a particular group. For a

    two bit hoodlum ANYBODY who does not play his game is lower than

    a snake's ass.

            I'm sure that Frank does not hate all Jews. This was just

    business, " Our Thing " !

Make health insurance MANDATORY !

It is no wonder that in a capitalist society -that can't put

    PEOPLE above profits - car insurance is mandatory but health insurance

    for workers - who own a LIVING machine far more complex than a car, far

    more expensive to repair when damaged than car - HEALTH INSURANCE is

    not mandatory. You don't dare drive a car without car insurance. Likewise

    we should not dare LOAN our human body -and our human mind ( subject to

    mental illness ) - to economic exploiters.

               When will this nation grasp the simple human truth that

    health care is a just a HUMAN RIGHT for everybody - employed or

    unemployed ? 

              Today I read a TRIVIAL news story  revealing that the 40 million

    Americans without health insurance do not just walk into hospitals when

    they need medical attention. They usually wait for a disaster to happen !

                 It seems that the uninsured are treated -more often than not-

    as NON-PERSONS by the health care industry. Here RACE , GENDER, NATIONALITY,

    SEXUAL ORIENTATION - are irrelevant. What matters is INSURANCE !

             I say that nothing should be more politically correct that a

    national health care plan for ALL Americans - and even for human beings

    right off the boat !

Alan M. Dershowitz and a " fair election "

           Today I see OUR president -FAIRLY ELECTED -on the front page

    of major newspapers challenging that insufferable tyrant Fidel Castro

    to have fair elections in Cuba. A real tough and HONEST Texas cowboy,

    OUR George W. Bush -not really a bad guy to deal with these terrorists-

    but was HE fairly elected President of the United States ?

           I am at the Providence Public Library -I'm sure the CIA is

    tuned in. But I write my e-mails for ALL AMERICANS -even snoops !

    Anyway I just spotted my favorite Jew's new book on the New Books

    shelf : " Alan M. Dershowitz - Supreme Injustice "...." how the

    High Court hijacked the election 2000 ."

               On the back cover : " The five Supreme Court justices who

    ended Election 2000 by stopping the Florida hand count have damaged the

    credibility of the Court ".

             It seems that here in DEMOCRATIC America we have the capitalist

    equivalent of the Politbureau.  " Their partisan decision "  - to

    elect George W. Bush is not unlike a Central Committee in Cuba

    ruling for dictator Fidel in a close election on that " socialist "

    island.

              By the way, don't underestimate Castro's popularity in

    Cuba. Like Al Gore ,he could indeed win the POPULAR vote.

             At least the POOR are happier in Cuba than they are here !

Has the CIA frozen my assets ?

Presently I'm in a slightly paranoid mood. Too many pink-

    like e-mails to newspapers everywhere. Of course the CIA and the

    FBI have been tuning in: " We know this guy is connected to the

    world wide terrorist conspiracy - if not to Osama himself - to

    that dangerous breed of FREE THINKERS that crop up everywhere-like

    rotten weeds - especially in over-indulgent democracies. "

               I stare at myself in the mirror. " A little too middle

    aged for the really explosive  rebellion - but definitely STOP

    him near airports or outside libraries ! " ( in the opinion of

    HEADQUARTERS )  .

                 Had not George W. Bush promised to freeze the bank

    accounts of the terrorists network - possibly consisting of rabid

    fans of Ralph Nader ?  And so THEY GOT ME !  Yesterday a Citizens

    Bank ATM confiscated my ATM card - no explanation . Just turn

    yourself in at your local branch !

                 Was it Osama who gave me that $ 55.00 ?

          Or was it just a damm creditor- who himself probably voted

    for Al Gore ? I did hear rumors about a lien on my assets .

                   Could I get on the front page of the PROJO ?

            DEAD BEAT DAD CAUGHT  !  But I didn't do it. Bill Clinton

    did. Read the National Enquirer.

Bush 9/11 photo just "politics "

Some people might think I'm more a fan of Osama bin Laden

    than I am of George W. Bush: after all, I voted for Ralph Nader !

             But recent criticism of Bush over that innocuous 9/11 photo

    which exploits only the tragedy of his election - and the ridiculous

    upcoming investigation of WHAT HE KNEW about a planned terrorist attack

    -which happened BIG TIME on Sept.11 - is just BUNK !

               That 9/11 photo of George W on the job on that day of infamy

    might prove as useful to him as a photo of Jack Kennedy welcoming Bay

    of Pigs survivors would have been to Jack himself -if he had lived to

    campaign in 1964.

                Two years from now Bush's re-election might hang on this

    question : " Are we safer from terrorism now than we were four years

    ago ? "

             And let me say that it is nothing less than appalling to suggest

    that Sept.11 was a right wing conspiracy.

               And just a footnote : FDR was as shocked by the surprise attack

    on Pearl Harbor as ordinary Americans.

                And the Warren Commission Report is NOT a fraud .

                And Elvis is indeed dead !

Cranston Mayor "ended blight " ?

Own a house in Cranston ? Sell it and sell it fast -before it

    goes to bargain basement values. HE claimed to " end blight " , the

    present Mayor of Cranston. Well, that's what he says on the City of

    Cranston web site. Since I like to take walks, I have long since

    discovered that more and more of Cranston, R.I. is less and less

    PLEASANT. Garbage and litter everywhere ! I think it was on Hyde St.

    that I noticed broken beer bottles on the lawn of a once NICE house.

    And the broken beer bottle glass was still there the next day and the

    next.

           On Tuesday, Jan. 29  - it was a very warm and pleasant day for

    a walk in the neighborhood. But it was no longer Mr. Roger's Neighborhood !

             Suddenly a vicious dog chased me into Reservoir Ave. I fell

    and broke my shoulder. The Cranston Police never even showed up to

    at least " protect the public ". And they have done  NOTHING to find

    the owner - possibly a POLICE WOMAN ? - of the Rottweiler that devastated

    my life.

             The medical bill is now $20,000 ! Thank God I don't own

    property in Cranston !

Mayor Cianci vs. our " Ruling Class "

Talk show host, Arlene Violet- former Rhode Island Attorney

    and a truly " beautiful person " - is infuriated with those Rhode Islanders

    who see gross corruption - and she was here referring to a Time magazine

    article on the " Buddy " Cianci circus trial - who see gross corruption

    as a popular entertainment , a SPORT: " Will our Buddy get away with it ? "

            Aren't they  CUTE all those scoundrels - seemingly linked to Federal

    Hill- who ruin the future for ordinary working class people in Providence,but

    at least bedazzle them as made for TV local two-bit celebrities. Yes here

    is CELEBRITY at its most putrescent !

                 Now I don't want our Buddy to get away with big time corruption.

    I hope the trial is FAIR as a trial often is for PRIVILEGED people.

            But Buddy might not be guilty of big time corruption. This

    matter with the University seems to me a rather petty affair. The

    entrenched RULING CLASS simply could not accept our Buddy as one of

    THEIR own. So he is like a medieval DUKE -  dangerously independent of

    the  nobles but no great friend of the peasants - who adore him.

                  The University Club was too SNOBBY to accept Buddy

    and the Prince of Providence -like a character in the Poe story " at

    length would be avenged ".

             " Today you spit in my face. But tomorrow you kiss my WOP

    ass ! "

Rumsfeld right on " Crusader "

If he were just a high school football coach, I would really

    like this guy - Secretary of Defense , Donald H. Rumsfeld. Since his

    first press conferences on Sept .11 , I have found him- a conservative

    Republican !- rather credible, and at least a good man to deal with really

    bad guys who just hate Americans - and obsessively hate Jews - just for

    the hell of it .

                He reminds me -this Rumsfeld -  in his manner of " preaching "

    of a certain Rev. Schuler - with fangs !

        But Donald Rumsfeld is right about  killing  the $11-billion Crusader

    artillery system. What a very undiplomatic name -considering the sensitivities

    of our Arab allies - for a 40-ton howitizer: " The Crusader ".

               Kill a Moslem  fanatic for Christ ? True all cultures are NOT

    equal anymore than sanity is just relative to insanity. Let us at least

    be faithful to Western rationalism !

Pit Bull Victims Sue Cianci ?

 Infuriating story on the front page of the Providence Journal

    this morning (May 7 ) :  " Twins, 6 injured in attack by pit bull ". The

    attack on Toren and Tyren Gamble  took place at a bus stop on the corner

    of Cranston and Althea. I often catch the Cranston St. bus and have often

    reflected that neighborhood that Cranston St. borders is nothing less than

    a crime against humanity - especially for kids trying to grow up with a

    little promise in their life. Walking up the street, I  am reminded of

    scenes out of " Claude Brown in the Promised Land " and a famous book

    titled " Death at an Early Age " .

                Is Providence  the " Renaissance City " for kids like Toren

    and Tyren ? The Providence Journal published an anti-pit bull letter of

    mine a while back. I said that the vicious beasts often reflect the personality

    of their master... and that the pit bull " will rip a kid's face off just

    for the hell of it ".

                I suggest that  Toren and Tyren send all their future medical

    and dental bills to our charming celebrity Mayor " Buddy " Cianci .

               A city has an obligation to make its streets safe for kids

    and pedestrians.

         I guess Rhode Island is indeed going to the dogs. The tourists here

    in the once idyllic Ocean State are more likely to encounter " Cujo " -

    the Stephen King nightmare than " Jaws " at the beach.

France - "democratic " triumph ?

Britain's Tony Blair vapidly calls the defeat of the reputed

    fascist - LePen- in the French election , a triumph for democracy. If

    our political system presented us with a choice between  George Bush

    and Patrick Buchanan , thinking people might vote for Bush and decent

    people might vote for Buchanan - who is NOT a fascist, but it would

    mean that something has gone very wrong with the  " democratic " system.

               It is amazing how anybody can call Tony Blair a socialist. The

    guy has not left in his compromised soul an iota of CLASS CONSCIOUSNESS.

              Where have all the WORKERS OF THE WORLD gone ? Are they now

    all smug pro-capitalists with a secure future ?

Traffic fines -everyday CLASS injustice !

            I read in the POLICE LOG this morning about a man being arrested

    at his home for accumulating traffic fines. Panic stricken, the POOR man

    resisted arrest, crying for his family - and thereby making matters worse

    for himself in a legal system - especially Rhode Island Traffic Court! -

    best described by Franz Kafka.

              Now the man might in many ways be unworthy of the respect of

    respectable people. Being rather unrespectable myself in the eyes of

    the traffic court - not owning a car, it can't get me in its clutches -

    I do have a measure of sympathy for this man - even if he is stupid,reckless,

    and irresponsible.

                In the nature of things the LAW does not punish rich and poor

    equally. Fining a blue collar guy $200 for speeding is not EQUAL to fining

    Joan Kennedy a little more for speeding AND drunken driving.

                 One loses his weekly paycheck, the other loses lunch money !

            Why not consider weekly income in determining traffic fines ?

         Again and again the REAL issue in everyday strife is CLASS.

          Take it from a guy who has none of it !

Fed up with Oprah and Dr.Phil !

Just by accident I have to put up with Oprah and Dr. Phil

    almost every weekday afternoon after four o'clock on TV - an often

    unpleasant hour before supper. Because Oprah is now so high and mighty,

    genuinely UPPITY ! - nobody around her has the guts to call her a tasteless

    idiot and HER Dr.Phil is definitely a pompous KEPT MAN, despite his pompous

    know it all psycho-babble.

                 Yesterday I finally had it with the dynamic duo - the Empress

    Oprah and the court physician, DR. Phil. Imagine letting an empty headed

    woman discuss her physical revulsion for her husband while he is right

    there next to her - with Oprah and Dr.Phil encouraging this heartless

    exploitation of commonplace marital misery -for the entertainment of an

    audience of millions too crude and stupid and insensitive themselves to

    be turned off by Oprah's daily doses of shamelessness.

                Jackasses worry about the moral consequences of cloning human

    beings who are already as alike as monkeys in a zoo !

               The universe was not wrong in making us humans mortal -passing

    phenomena.
