"High crimes and misdemeanors" ?

In the Providence Journal, Jan. 2, in the Commentary page

vociferous " Voices around the nation "  continue to refer to

the " President's lack of integrity and honor " and how he  " must

be tried for his high crimes and misdemeanors ".

Do these people know something that ordinary American citizens-

not lacking in integrity and honor - do not know or refuse to know ?

Isn't even a president entitled to a fair trial in which " high

crimes and misdemeanors " can be established beyond a shadow of a doubt ?

Does anybody get to serve on a jury in this country who loudly

proclaims his contempt for the accused , his predetermined conclusion

    of GUILT ?

In the court of public opinion - which cannot be disdained in

a genuine DEMOCRACY - President Clinton is already NOT GUILTY of any

impeachable offense . Just yesterday we learned that he is 1998 's

    " Most Admired " man !

It follows from this that the LEAST ADMIRED people in the nation

are those vicious and reckless Republican Congressmen who voted to

    impeach Bill Clinton.

Indeed so odious are they that someday in Washington D.C. a

monument might be built to their SHAME !
