Letter: Susan R. Berge: Defending America is novel way to use the military

This is intelligent conservatism speaking here. Susan R.Berge sees clearly how the U.S. military - at vast expense - is misused. Even trade wars make no sense. There are productive people in China and Russia who make wonderful things and would like to sell them on the world market. Are they bigger rascals than industrialists in the United States who make wonderful things and want to sell them on the world market ? 

Consider the human race from a purely zoological perspective ? What did non-existent nation state boundaries mean to migrating mammals - or even dinosaurs - in the remote past ? A world population of 7 billion human beings will soon be laughing at ALL nation state boundaries. 

A rational world economic order ( socialism ) would establish an EQUILIBRIUM on present day nation-state borders: as many eager for work , for the GOOD LIFE , people will be crossing nation state borders in one direction as in the opposite direction. Everywhere blind nature creates EQUILIBRIUM ( and yes, DIVERSITY ! ) It should not be impossible for an INTELLIGENT species. 

For solving the problems of HUMAN survival in the 21st century the American military is USELESS . Let us patriotic citizens now junk it !
