Democratic socialists reject Islamic religious fanaticism but also
ALL forms of toxic nationalism and blood thirsty FALSE patriotism.
Unlike the neo-liberals - besotted with " identity politics "- we
respect the cultural, intellectual, and moral achievements of Western
Civilization.What might " work " to preserve Western values is a
complete RETREAT from the Middle East - at least for a century.
The working class LEFT and the middle class RIGHT might agree on this.
