The Trump supporters - who WON the election for the right wing
nationalist-were themselves the subject of a mainstream news media smear
campaign . What " deplorables " they were ? Many were just ordinary
working class Americans betrayed for years by the neo-liberal
Democrats.
As a democratic socialist -thinking Trump was odious enough ( if a lesser evil than Hawk Hillary ) I am still appalled by the " Neo-McCarthyism " ( see the " New Republic " editorial ) smear campaign against Donald Trump -still just HUMAN-like Bill Clinton.
Hillary Clinton and the DNC were far more contemptuous of " democracy " in America than far away- in Russia- Vladimir Putin -who heads a capitalist oligarchy not on a lower moral plane than our infamous plutocracy.
