Two very great and very popular science fiction writers were Isaac
Asimov and Carl Sagan- both decidedly " left " in their political views.
I also think that H.P. Lovecraft- a fantasy cult horror writer- is
being unfairly smeared - and even ostracized -by the politically correct
for effete racial views common to the early 20th century.
By the time
he died in 1937 H.P. Lovecraft had evolved into a democratic socialist -
fond of Norman Thomas and H.G. Wells- and said in one of his numerous
